Volunteer Opportunities

The Humane Society of Indianapolis is looking for volunteers to work Mutt Strut, a pet walk around Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday, April 27, 2008. Volunteers are needed to work outdoors (rain or shine) in shifts from 7:30 am until 5 pm.

HOW DO YOU BENEFIT?
- Mutt Strut 2008 t-shirt and volunteer hat to be worn the day of the event.
- Mutt Strut 2008 collector's dog tag (different every year)!
- Complimentary refreshments and snacks to keep you going throughout the day.
- Guaranteed fun and the appreciation of the four-legged friends at our shelter!

WHAT IS REQUIRED?
- Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
- Animals/young children are not allowed to accompany the volunteer during their shift.
- Utility and set-up volunteers must be able to lift 25 pounds safely.
- Volunteers must be able to work their entire shift (no splitting shifts).
- Volunteers who would like to walk the track following their shift must register for the event.
- Attend Volunteer Orientation at HSI. Dates and details will be sent with your confirmation.
